A software solution provider iotintel.com has announced their fever detection system: ThermalPass which was prominently featured on Fox.com on June 04, 2020. The title of the article was: “As America reopens, fever-screening technology touted as a promising tool.
The report highlights how various sized businesses are looking for fever screening technology in order to safely reopen with an added layer of protection for the employees. It will help both the customers and management to fight against the further spread of COVID – 19. The article explains how the fever screening solution will help them fight the current situation.
ThermalPass has jointly been developed by AI Labs Inc. together with Commersive Solutions Corp. The main aim of the project is to enhance public safety with prompt, touch-free temperature scanning of multiple people at higher traffic areas like entryways, luggage checking points, etc. to lower the risk of spreading coronavirus. This system is also helpful in reducing the spread of other fever-bearing contagions. Previous week ITT Inc. has announced that they have received permission from Health Canada for conducting business with ThermalPass to get the Clarence of a Medical Device Establishment License (MDEL) otherwise the product cannot be commercialised.
The ThermalPass technology uses medical-grade sensors for detecting an object’s infrared energy if a person’s body temperature crosses more than the normal recommended temperature it will notify the user. The system can detect the temperature over a distance, so people do not have to come and touch the machine for testing purposes. The system instantly and silently notifies the user about those particular persons with higher body temperature, allowing staff to conduct a secondary check to maintain traffic flow. With the latest invention, public areas can be protected, and people can move securely.
