On Thursday, Rogers in an agreement with AT&T announced to extend LTE-M coverage for all of its IoT customers. The customers who all will get benefit from it are from both the companies based in Canada and United States.
If you are a Roger customer, then you will get the capability to roam on AT&T LTE-M network in the US and in Canada you can roam on Rogers LTE-M network. With these announcements of the agreement, it will then benefit with all businesses and who all use some real-time IoT solutions. Apart from these things, it will too help in improving the vehicle tracking location as well as telematics for all kind of safety and other applications.
Moreover, Rogers to launch its Narrow-Band IoT, which is said to be currently the carrier to light up the network technology in Canada. Well NB-IoT will allow IoT devices as well as sensors to receive and send all small amounts of data for a long distance. This will also help in going for low power requirements. This network is said to be the complementary network for LTE and LTE-M customers across Canada.
According to Dean Prevost, who is the president of Rogers for Business, said in a statement that, Rogers is currently leading the road in IoT. With this announcement from the company, now it seems that the company is going to deliver its commitment which aims to bring whole Canada businesses inside IoT connectivity. As the agreement is being signed with AT&T, the company will now bring some best and advanced innovation for the businesses.
As per Chris Penrose, who is the president of Advanced Mobility and Enterprise Solutions of At&T, said that with this all, it will help in a great way. It will simplify the deployments as well as can scale the North American IoT plans as well across Canada.
