OPPO India has lined up more than six 5G-enabled devices in various price segments to produce 5G smartphones. In an interview,TasleemArif, the Vice-president and R&D Head, OPPO India says: “5G and IoT (Internet of Things) will be the key focus areas for the company in 2021, apart from building an IoT ecosystem and developing the business of multiple smart devices.”
He further added: “5G is now a key smartphone purchase consideration everywhere in the key world markets.” According to him 2020 has been arduous yet a productive year for the company, they introduced over twenty products in the Indian market in different categories, that includes:
125W flash charge
65W AirVOOC wireless flash charge and
50W mini SuperVOOC charger
He also mentioned that smart devices have played an important role in connecting people in the pandemic under several restrictions due to lockdown. He said: “As per IDC, OPPO stands at the third position with a record 40.2 per cent year-over-year growth as of October 2020,”
Mr Arif also said that recently their firm had set up a 5G innovation lab to tap the overseas market to foster the technological development of core products for the 5G ecosystem. He said, “Our 5G lab will help us in the validation of all OPPO upcoming devices as per the operator needs across the globe including performing interoperability and compliance tests,”
In the same context, he further added “We are also working closely with leading industry chain partners like Jio, Airtel, Qualcomm, MediaTek, and others to soon realise the dream of a 5G experience for smartphone users in the country,”
The firm announced the launch of Reno5 Pro 5G smartphone within a few days which is equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) video highlight and the Full Dimension Fusion portrait video system technology to capture mindboggling videos under various light conditions, which will take the videography experience to a new level. The technology will support high-quality videography especially low-light and night time.
He also said: “It is available on both front and rear cameras, delivering improved image results without draining power.”
