Ondas Networks Inc. has recently announced the release of its improved FullMAX radio architecture suited for Mission Critical IoT (MC-IoT) networks with high scalability. This announcement by the developer of private licensed wireless data networks tailored to the needs of industrial markets with critical mission needs came on the eve of the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The radio (SDR) platform supported with Ondas FullMAX software has been the basis for the industrial IEEE 802.16s wireless standard introduced recently. Now, it would be able to support narrow as well as wide channels varying from 12.5 kHz to 10 MHz in frequency. Recent IoT updates have suggested that the improved capability for inclusion of narrow channels can facilitate the desired infrastructure for critical scenarios. The new platform improvement has also been associated with the added ability for introduction of MC-IoT applications as well as edge computing capabilities that are superlative as compared to the conventional underutilized Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and legacy channels.
Some IoT newsletters have stated that this improvement in the IoT platform would provide the advantage of increasing scalability for the future in order to accommodate the increased availability of channels as well as improve throughput by supporting the aggregation of non-adjacent channels. The features of time division duplexing by FullMAX would also be a formidable support for these new features in the improved IoT platform for facilitating upstream data networks with higher capacity for entities critical to a mission during the use of existing network infrastructure.
Latest IoT articles have also pointed out to the statements of Chief Revenue Officer for Ondas Networks, Suresh Palliparambil. He stated that the unique challenges posed by critical infrastructure for IoT applications could be addressed through the new FullMAX platform by dealing with the needs for higher security, reliability and availability that can also be supported with enabling data communications suited for MC-IoT. He further added that the IWCE 2019 allowed Ondas Networks to showcase the value of their FullMAX technology tailored for entities that are crucial to specific objectives and missions.
