The concept of smart is not new, and it is going to a step forward with Nokia who has successfully completed a trial demoing on the use of 5G technology to run a network of commercial cars. They are the first to run the test and now the expectations are at its pick.
At Japan’s Honda Research Centre, SoftBank has conducted the entire test, where Hokkaido was the developmental site. They have installed a non-standalone network of 5G technology that is perfect for testing smart connected vehicles. SoftBank is the buyer of Nokia’s end-to-end 5G project and the test was a breakthrough because of Nokia’s 3 GPP release of 15 compliant commercial-standard 256 QAM high-order modulations along with the 4x4 MIMO radio equipment which was used in the test.

Another report discover Nuro provides permission to experiment with its self-driving vehicles in Houston, Texas. These vehicles don’t have human control functionality like steering wheel, pedal etc. The report will be shown to the US Department of Transportation for enforcing greater oversight of the trial. Nuro needs to prepare a report on this to run a test on autonomous vehicles. Various market research predicts that by 2023 the public transport market for intelligence communication will approach €3.7 billion, thanks to the Internet of Things (IoT).
