As of now, there are a significant number of the Internet of Things devices that are being used all over the plant. The only problem with these Internet of Things devices is that they are excruciatingly insecure. The manufacturers are placing the top-notch priorities on the benefits and rate of profitability by distributing their products to the market efficiently and inexpensively. The manufacturer is not paying attention to the security of the devices.
On the other hand, manufacturers are not the only ones to be at fault here. There is a massive competition when it comes to manufacturing the Internet of Things products as the consumers have been putting the manufacturers with unsurmountable demands. The makers themselves do not get an ample amount of time to spend and test their gadgets. And this is one of the reasons as to why most of the IoT devices do not have better security.
There is a reason as to why there is a healthy level of vulnerability as well as mistrust when it comes to the Internet of Things. By the looks of it, around 80 percent of respondents say that they are well aware of the fact that the IoT devices do not keep the data as well as the privacy safe.
Nevertheless, the year 2019 is going to make things entirely different. The experts predict that this year the Internet of Things devices are going to become extremely trustworthy.
The Security Bill for IoT in 2019 is not confined to the consumers. Some of the distinctive members of the government of the United States have shown their concerns about the dangers of security that the Internet of Things possesses. Internet of Things has made its way to traffic grids, water supplies, transit systems among others and this is why the US wants to make sure that each IoT device maintains the minimum level of security.
