Gaia Smart Cities, a small Internet of Things (IoT) company together with the world’s largest software maker, Microsoft will build a platform where people can assess their health condition and risk from COVID – 19. The two are working on this; the application is using Microsoft’s very popular cloud computing service – Azure that will provide necessary health information to the citizens so that they can take the necessary measure. Its administration track response will make the Pincode of the area into consideration and suggest preventive measure accordingly. All the health data of the citizen will be stored in the Azure cloud, which will provide a real-time report to the health personnel.
Gaia, the Mumbai based firm’s new invention plans to scale up their production and service after successfully testing in Agra. Arun Prakash, the CEO of Agra Smart City, together with Ayukt, Agra Nagar Nigam, explains this app will identify the high-risk individuals from a crowd. It can also locate the spread of the virus through location-based data analyst and will be able to take prompt actions.
Prakash further added, The Agra Smart City Control and Command room have turned into a war room more than an office to fight coronavirus in Agra District. The citizens will understand the critical symptoms resulted from COVID – 19; it can reduce the chances of a high-risk factor as they can take preventive measure. They can also connect with medical practitioners for help without visiting the hospitals.
Director, Gaia, Amrita Chowdhury said the company leveraged the power of its latest feedback software platform to design a platform called: citizen home delivery locator and Citizen COVID 19 Risk Self – Assessment application along with other digital applications. She further added, their Software-as-a-service (SaaS) backed by Microsoft Azure are rapidly deployable and transportable at the same point of time. They can obtain micro-location specific information with the help of Pin code-based data.
She also extended: “As a startup, we are humbled to be able to contribute to the fight against corona. Our committed Agra smart city program management team is working in the frontlines alongside Agra district administration to organize response measures, create food and supplies distribution linkages, enable digital medical centres and citizen helplines, and spread necessary information to citizens,” She also said it would be the company’s privilege to offer this extended contribution to harness the recent crisis situation.
