Cognizant wants to get hold of Zenith Technologies

According to Cognizant, the company plans to acquire the acclaimed Zenith Technologies. Nevertheless, the company hasn't disclosed the appropriate amount for strengthening the capabilities of the Internet of Things. By the looks of it, this is the first acquisition that Cognizant has reportedly announced after Brian Humphries helmed the role of CEO.

Zenith Technologies is headquartered at Ireland focuses on life sciences to manufacturing technology services. Moreover, the company also specializes in implementing the essence of digital technologies for controlling, managing and optimizing drug. On the other hand, Zenith Technologies also oversees the production of medical devices to enhance operational efficiency along with regulatory compliance.

According to the sources, the acquisition will extend the capabilities of Cognizant in terms of implementing, designing and to manage the end-to-end information and operation technology systems. In a recent press release, Cognizant said that the acquisition would also make the company a robust manufacturer of the medical device as well as biopharmaceutical.

The unified expertise of both companies is predicted to produce a wide array of Industry 4.0 capabilities. Together they would begin from design consultation, controller instrument, machine sensor through data acquisition and supervisory control. Moreover, the systems of manufacturing execution, planned enterprise resource, batch automation, as well as managed services.

Furthermore, Cognizant also works with thirty significant life sciences firms. Currently, there are over 800 employees that are working for Zenith. After the acquisition is complete, these employees are going to become a part of the Life Sciences establishment unit.
