IoT device manufacturer company, Volty IoT bagged the order of producing GPS IoT devices in Mangalgiri, Andhra Pradesh. They claimed they have the capacity to produce approximately 2000 devices a day. The initial investment of the set up was INR 50 Crore.
In a statement given to a news reporter, the company discovered the following manufacturing facility would cater to the growing need for GPS devices in mineral and sand mining. They claim with the installation of these GPS trackers, the overall mining process will be more efficient, and workers’ security can be enhanced within the mining environment. These GPS trackers will also help in tracking vehicles and controlling traffic.
Konark Chukkapally, chief executive officer Andhra Pradesh, said; the state government has made it mandatory for all the sand mine vehicles to have GPS trackers. Without the tracker, no vehicle would be permitted to involve in sand transportation. Konark told in a statement, almost 10, 000 units of GPS tracker - AIS 140 model will be installed in these vehicles involved in sand mining and transportation. As a leading manufacturer, they are hopeful of producing around 25 000 GPS devices to be installed within a couple of weeks. Volty IoT can produce nearly 3000 devices at Mangalgiri with the current manufacturing facility, which is impressive to cater to the market need.
The union government is making it mandatory for all the commercial vehicles to be fitted with passenger safety IoT devices from 1 January 2020. Hyderabad’s IoT solution firm hopes to harness the market opportunities of approximate 3 crore units per year all over India, with the onset of the idea. Further report suggests, Volty IoT has started the arrangements with around six GPS tracker supplier for the contract, they will manufacture the devices under the label and supervision of Volty IoT.
