The acclaimed vendor of Frequency Control merchandise, AEL Crystals, has reportedly added a groundbreaking oscillator called SiTime MEMS to the company's Internet of Things portfolio.
The Internet of Things will bring a whole new rift to the frequency control. The oscillators will use multiple protocols such as ZigBee, Bluetooth, CSR Mesh/ Bluetooth Low Energy, Thread Sigfox, and Z-Wave.
The manufacturers of frequency control are going to have met the demand for a trustworthy wireless frequency generation. AEL customized the oscillators to increase, which furthermore reduces the power consumption and provides agreeing performance over the broad operating specification.
SiT 15xx 32.768 kHz MEMS have been specifically curated for the Internet of Things, smartphones, wearable device application. AEL says the oscillators will consider the space and power as a fundamental nature of the device
According to the vendor, the SiTime MEMS oscillators will be offering significant degrees of integration along with new packaging options & space savings. The oscillators also come with two distinct choices such as unique surface mount & CSP, ultra-small chip-scale package.
What makes the oscillators an ideal choice for Internet of Things applications is clocking and monitoring the circuitry. The oscillator comes with a real-time clock speed of 32.768 kHz, which always stays awake. By the looks of it, the clock provides extending battery life for the processor.
The MEMS oscillators are going to release in the market in an SMD of 2.0 x 1.2mm, as the designs need crystal resonator compatibility. CSP MEMS reduces the footprint by up to 80% when compared with the existing 2012 SMD crystal packages. Moreover, it is around 60% smaller than the existing 1.6 x 1.0mm crystal package.
With an addition to real-time clock RTC products, SiTime offers the smallest oscillator in the industry which lowest clock speed, SiT8021.
