The Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU) students in Rajasthan has built up an IoT cooler that runs via Wi-Fi. The cooler can also be operated through Bluetooth. In an interview, Raj Kumar the Colonel of BDSU said that this machine could be operated through your smartphone or tablet. Till now they have not updated it to connect to the IOS, very soon they will come up with that update.
This cooler has a 12W – 2.4W power adapter along with the fans which allow it to auto-off, whenever the room temperature reached a certain chilling point it automatically off the cooler, so you dot have to worry about extra electric consumption. Another worth mentioning feature of the cooler is, its mercury sensor sends you a notification if after shutting the motor it the mercury gets low below the recommended level. Mr Kumar further added, with this latest technology Rajasthan could produce its own cooler like other renowned brands.
This cooler is based on the Internet of Things (IoT) which makes it stand out among others because of its Wi-Fi operable features. It has a shelf life of more than 60 years and also saves your electricity. It also has water-saving technology will stop using extra water. It falls under the category of ‘’Go Green’’. The machine also controls the carbon release, so no worries about environmental pollution.
Two students named Manoj and Vikas work hand in hand with Mr Kumar to manufacture this cooler. According to the Pro-Chancellor, BSDU, Brig (Dr.) S S Pabla, each of their University student are trained via Swiss Dual System of skills. Here the ‘’Dual’’ represent both learning in vocational school and hands-on training in IT job scenario.
He further added, our nation is facing a severe problem of unemployment and lack of genuinely skilled persona. Under this condition, India must focus on providing quality training over quantity training which has the potential to harness the problem. The Indian scenario must need to change to produce appropriately skilled candidates who can fulfil the internal technical requirement of an organization.
